Arriving in the Czech Republic

You may import duty-free into the Czech Republic 250 cigarettes or the equivalent in tobacco, 1 liter of spirits, 2 liters of wine, and gifts valued at up to 1,000 Kcs (approximately $35).
If you take into the Czech Republic valuables or foreign-made equipment from home, such as cameras, carry the original receipts with you or register the items with U.S. Customs before you leave (Form 4457). Otherwise you could end up paying duty upon your return.
Departing from the Czech Republic

From the Czech Republic you can take out gifts and souvenirs valued at up to 1,000 Kc. Theft of antiques--particularly Baroque pieces from churches--continues to despoil the Czech cultural heritage. Only antiques bought at specially appointed shops may be exported. If there's any doubt about a piece's history, it's likely to have been stolen.
